Taiwan's economy has witnessed a boost with February's catering and retail sectors hitting record revenues, spurred by the Spring Festival and strong demand in tech sectors.

Sales of wholesale trade were NT$1.0164 trillion in March 2023, a decrease of 13.3% compared with the same month in 2022, according to a report from the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA).
Taiwan's wholesale, retail and food services sales all rose in August compared with the same month in 2019.
Compared with the same month in 2019, sales of wholesale trade in September 2020 increased 8.2% to NT$952.1 billion while retail sales in September 2020 increased 2.9% year-on-year to NT$320.6 billion.
Retail trade sales in Taiwan registered NT$369.7 billion in April 2023, an increase of 7.5% from the same month in 2022.
Wholesale, retail and food services sales all fell in May compared to the same month in 2019.
