The government is considering allowing foreign nationals who hold Alien Permanent Resident Certificates (APRC) to buy into its economic stimulus voucher programme, according to Minister of Economic Affairs, Wang Mei-hua.

Representatives of foreign chambers are praising the government's decision to change the numbering system of Alien Resident Certificates and Alien Permanent Resident Certificates.

Premier Su Tseng-chang has announced that all permanent foreign residents holding Alien Permanent Residence Cards (APRCs) and diplomats will soon be eligible for the government’s so-called “triple stimulus” consumer vouchers.
