Taiwan’s unemployment rate for March stood at 3.56%. According to a new release from the Directorate General of Budget Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS) the unemployment rate increased by 0.3 percentage points from the previous month but declined by 0.1 percentage points from the same month in 2022.

The government says the increase in the unemployment rate is due mainly to the continuing trend of people making career changes and seeking new jobs after the Lunar New Year holiday.

Figures show that the unemployment rate for the first three months after seasonal adjustments remained in the range of between 3.58% and 3.6%.
