Taipei schools to cancel activities during holidays

The Taipei City Government has announced all schools must cancel or postpone off-campus education, graduation ceremonies and other learning services until the end of February.

Schools that offer private tutoring services and make-up classes must also switch to distance learning methods during this period.

However, as some parents rely on schools to take care of their children during working hours over the holiday, the city government said schools must offer "afterschool care classes" if students need it, but strict epidemic prevention measures must be implemented and protocols rigorously observed.
