Unemployment rate drops to 3.66%

Taiwan’s unemployment rate in November declined to 3.66% or 3.71% on a seasonally adjusted basis. According to a report by the Directorate General of Budget Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS), the number of unemployed persons was 436,000 in November, a decrease of 20,000 (-4.38%) from the previous month and 13,000 (-2.92%) from the same month in 2020. The labour force participation rate rose by 0.09 percentage points to 59.11% in November on a month-on-month basis. However, it declined by 0.04 percentage points from the same month in 2020.
