Medigen says all participants in the Phase three clinical trial of its Covid-19 vaccine now have two shots of either the Medigen or AstraZeneca brands.

The trial began on 13 October. Medigen wants to compare the effectiveness of its own, and the AstraZeneca vaccine.

It's doing that by measuring the antibodies generated by the jabs in trial participants.

Blood samples will be collected from the participants two weeks after their second jabs for analysis.

Medigen's vaccine is now undergoing trials in Paraguay.

It's also to take part in the Solidarity Trial Vaccines platform.

That programme was co-launched by the World Health Organisation.
