As the coronavirus outbreaks appear to be under control, health minister Chen Shih-chung says more easings of restrictions may be coming.

He says while there are currently no plans to lower the overall level 2 alert, limits on large-scale gatherings may be loosened.

Instead of a hard cap on the number of people in a building, the cap would be based on the venue's available floor space.

However, Chen says there is no talk of allowing KTVs to reopen at this time.

The current level 2 alert is scheduled to end next Monday, but Chen is indicating that it will likely be extended.
