New Covid-19 cases remain low

The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) today reported 40 new cases of Covid-19, all but one of which were domestic infections, marking the 13th consecutive day that the number of new cases has been below 100.
The new cases bring Taiwan’s total Covid-19 cases to 15,128, of which about 13,700 have been domestic infections reported since 15 May, when the CECC first recorded more than 100 cases in a single day.
The CECC also reported nine new deaths from the disease today. To date, 715 people in Taiwan have died of Covid-19, including 703 since 15 May.
