The Central Epidemic Command Center will be testing all arriving travellers for the coronavirus from today and they will also be required to test negative two more times before the end of their 14-day quarantine period.

The new policy comes amid heightened concerns about the Delta variant of the virus.

According to the health minister, the testing policy is expected to be in place for at least one month.

Along with having a PCR test on their arrival, all travellers will now have to take a coronavirus antigen rapid test between the 10th and 12th days of their quarantine.

All three tests are being provided free of charge.
