MOFA thanks EU, US officials for support

MOFA is thanking top US and EU officials for their statements in support of Taiwan.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Council President Charles Michel, and US President Joe Biden yesterday jointly stressed the importance of peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait, and called for peaceful resolution to cross-strait disputes.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says it welcomes this support for regional peace and stability from such import democracies.
It says that Taiwan will continue working with the EU, US, and other like-minded countries to strengthen ties.
MOFA also called on China to halt all provocative military action in the Strait and its threats and intimidation targeting Taiwan.
