Local vaccine phase 2 trials nearly complete

President Tsai Ing-wen says phase 2 clinical trials of locally developed coronavirus vaccines are nearly complete and doses are expected to be available by the end of July.
Speaking to reporters after visiting the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC), Tsai said the government is taking steps to ensure that all of the local vaccines in production are safe and of high quality, so the public will be willing to get shots.
According to Tsai, her administration will also provide vaccine manufacturers with all necessary assistance.
The local vaccines entering the final stage of phase 2 testing are being developed by Medigen and United Biomedical.
