Taiwan's food delivery workers are planning to form their own union.
Following many complaints about food delivery platforms cutting their pay, the delivery workers are trying to band together to protect their own interests.
A preparatory committee has been formed, but there is no official date for when the union will be formalized. There are about 100 members total on the committee. They are calling for the 80,000 delivery workers nationwide to join the union to fight back against the delivery company's practices.
They also want the Ministry of Labour to amend relevant laws to give delivery workers more protections and guarantees.
