The National Immigration Agency has once again extended the term of stay for visitors in Taiwan who arrived before 21 March last year.
An automatic visa extension of 30 days will be given to all who landed before that time and have not overstayed their entry visa or any previously announced extension.
This is the 10th automatic via extension announced since the pandemic began.
The National Immigration Agency said in a press statement today it is to reduce international travel which could exacerbate the pandemic, and reduce the possibility of community transmission.
