Book publications hit 20 year low

Book publications in Taiwan last year have hit a two-decade low.
According to the National Central Library's annual report, some 35,000 books were published in 2020. That's the lowest number in twenty years.
With the global coronavirus pandemic, the number of travel books published last year dropped sharply by about 70%, with only 179 volumes.
At the same time, the number of inspirational volumes went up by 16%, to 1,600 books.
