Unemployment rises to 3.7% in February

Taiwan's jobless rate rose slightly last month.
The Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting, and Statistics says the unemployment rate rose .04 percentage points to 3.7% in February. That equates to approximately 443,000 people out of work.
The agency attributed the increase to a larger number of job seekers after the Lunar New Year holiday.
After seasonal adjustment, the unemployment rate increased to 3.73%, down 0.02 percentage points month on month.
