Taiwan's front-line workers are getting ready for the first wave of AstraZeneca vaccines.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare says, with the current number of doctors and nurses willing to take the AstraZeneca vaccine, the first wave of vaccinations will go to about 60,000 front-line workers.
Officials say about 43% of front-line workers are willing to take the vaccine, as well as about 28% of second-line workers.
Health Minister Chen Shih-chung says he still believes the AstraZeneca vaccine to be safe.
And concerning the recent decision of many countries to halt distribution of the AstraZeneca vaccine, Chen says he will meet with health experts on the matter, and make a decision within two days, after a thorough review.
