A new report finds that this year's average annual bonus is at its lowest in nine years.
The survey from online job bank "yes123" finds that the year-end benefit averages 1.11-month's pay, compared with 1.31 month's pay last year.
And just 56% of employees say they expect to receive an annual bonus this year, down from almost 68% last year. The fallen level of expectations marks an eight-year low.
By sector, employees in banking and insurance or accounting are likely to see the biggest bonuses, at 2.5 months.
And the lowest pay-outs will go to the mass communications and advertising sector, with companies expected to hand out half a month's pay for the annual bonus.
