Adimmune starts coronavirus vaccine trial

Local drug maker Adimmune has started the first phase of human trials for its experimental coronavirus vaccine.
According to the company, phase 2 of the programme is likely to begin in November, if everything goes well.
Adimmune Chairman Zhan Xi-xian says they hope that people here in Taiwan can begin receiving vaccinations sometime after the middle of next year.
The first stage of the human trials is being supervised by National Taiwan University Hospital and involves about 70 healthy participants aged between 20 and 60.
