The Ministry of Digital Affairs has announced a five-year strategic plan it says will promote the development and use of artificial intelligence in government as a way of improving efficiency.
The plan will be submitted to the Cabinet for approval. If approved, the ministry says it is expected to be implemented from 2026.
The AI development strategic plan lays out five strategies. It encourages government agencies to develop smart services, including building smart counters and smart secretaries, so people can apply for government services with the help of AI tools.
It promotes the building of automated administrative services, as it seeks to optimize AI models across agencies, to create smart services that ensure digital inclusion and equal opportunity.
