The Taipei District Court has ordered two more suspects in the Core Pacific City investigation to be detained for their alleged involvement in the case.

The latest suspects to have been ordered detained are former Dingyue Development Corporation President Zhu Ya-hu and Lee Wen-zong, the former director-general of former Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je's office in 2015.

Both suspects were questioned late Friday and into Saturday before prosecutors applied for detention orders. Zhu and Lee were questioned after prosecutors and officials from the Agency Against Corruption launched a second wave of searches on 29 locations last Friday.

Seven people have so far been detained in connection with the investigation, which was launched in May.
