Ministry of Economic Affairs Minister Kuo Jyh-huei has confirmed that his ministry will form a delegation to the EU in September for consultations aiming to settle disputes between Taiwan and the EU on wind energy.

The comments come after the European Union formally required the Dispute Settlement Body of the World Trade Organization to solve the issue that the EU believes that Taiwan's localisation policy for offshore wind energy has violated WTO regulations.

Kuo says Taiwan will seek to communicate and negotiate a mutually acceptable approach for both domestic and foreign companies. He added that he's hoping that the EU and Taiwan can work together in their efforts in the field of green energy.
