June exports rise 23.5%

Taiwan’s exports in the month of June expanded 23.5% year on year to US$39.90 billion while total imports rose by 33.9% from the same month in 2023 to US$35.22 billion, It was the eighth consecutive monthly year-on-year increase.

 

The combined exports generated by the two largest contributors to Taiwan’s exports, namely the electronic components industry and the information communication and video/audio sector totalled roughly US$25.36 billion in June, which represents a 36.2% increase from the same month in 2023.

In the first six months of this year, Taiwan's exports totalled US$225.03 billion, which is up 11.4% from a year earlier while imports reached US$188.91 billion, up 7.8%.
