Sinyi Global Asset Management says the A-I industry boom is driving a significant increase in demand for large commercial real estate in Taiwan - particularly for corporate headquarters.

According to Sinyi Global General Manager Lin San-zhi, businesses are competing to acquire land so they can consolidate their various units into a single headquarters.

Lin says transactions for plots of land over 500 pings are on the rise and some financially strong corporate clients are focusing on acquiring plots over 1,000 pings.

The rise in commercial investments is evident in science parks such the Neihu Technology Park in Taipei.

And the Sinyi Global general manager says that particular area is experiencing a clustering effect of listed companies establishing a presence.

Sinyi says land transactions at the Neihu Technology Park have amounted to NT$43.3 billion since 2018.
