The weekend's weather front brought 19.08 million cubic meters of precipitation to reservoirs around Taiwan over the past three days, with the rain mainly falling in northern Taiwan.

Over three days, Xinshan Reservoir, Feitsui Reservoir, Shihmen Reservoir, Yuanshan Weir, and Second Baoshan Reservoir in the north collected a cumulative total of 9.9 million cubic metres of rainwater. In central Taiwan, key reservoirs received a cumulative total of 8.6 million cubic metres during the three-day period. The rainfall also helped fill Wushantou, Zengwen, and Nanhua reservoirs in southern Taiwan with a total of 500,000 cubic metres of rainwater.

An official with the Water Resources Agency says reservoirs across Taiwan are now at between 30% and 70% of total capacity but an agency official says levels continue to fall due to domestic demand.
