In a recent survey by Manpower Group, 73% of Taiwanese employers report difficulties in recruiting suitable talent.

The technology sector is facing the most significant shortages. The top five skills in demand are IT and data, engineering, manufacturing, human resources, and sustainability.

This challenge is attributed to the rapid development of AI and digital transformation.

The transportation, logistics, and automotive industries report the highest shortage at 78%, influenced by increased travel and consumer activities post-pandemic.

To address this, companies are adopting strategies like offering flexible working hours, higher salaries, and location flexibility.

Additionally, an economic recession looms as a concern for 70% of employers, potentially impacting job openings and training programmes.
