The Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA) has announced that it plans to allow charter flights from 13 additional locations in China to meet the increased travel demand over the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday.

According to the administration, regular direct flights are already offered between Taiwan and 15 cities in China.

However, the civil aviation regulator says it is now accepting applications from carriers seeking to arrange charter flights from 13 selected cities between 31 January and 20 February.

The 13 locations include Shenyang, Changsha, Xi'an, Nanchang, Tianjin, and Xuzhou.
