Taiwan People’s Party (TPP) presidential nominee, Ko Wen-je, has reiterated that his party and the opposition Kuomintang (KMT) party should use polling to determine who runs as presidential and vice presidential candidates as part of a joint campaign.

Ko, who was visiting California on Thursday, highlighted the need for transparent rules for opposition cooperation. Asked about whether he would be willing to run as the running mate, Ko sidestepped the question by saying that it involves party cooperation. Later that day, Ko assured supporters that any challenges for cooperation will all be resolved in the end.
