A recent survey shows that more than 70% of Taiwanese plan to travel abroad over the next two years.

According to the latest survey by marketing consulting firm Eastern Online, around 50% of respondents plan to travel abroad within the next year, and more than 70% over the next two years.

The survey also shows that compared to the same period in 2022, more than 20% of consumers plan to travel around Taiwan over the next week, even though the summer vacation period has ended with around 21% considering a domestic trip soon.

In terms of age, the survey shows those in the 40 to 49 age group, who have greater flexibility in work time and more disposable income, are the most willing to travel domestically, while those aged 30 to 39 are the most eager to travel abroad.

People aged between 20 and 29 years are less willing to travel abroad because most have only recently started their careers and are more conservative about entertainment expenses.
