In spite of lingering Covid-19 challenges in 2022, young adults under 30 have achieved a record high average annual income of NT$536,000.

The Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics attributes this milestone to improvements in the socio-economic environment and an increase in minimum wages.

Along with this achievement, incomes across all age groups reached historical highs, reflecting positive economic trends in Taiwan.

For the age group from 55 to 64, the average was NT$794,000 a year, while the 45 to 54 age group earned the highest among all ages, with an average of NT$923,000 a year.
