March average earnings at NT$47,925

In March, the average regular earnings of full-time employees with Taiwan nationality (excluding foreigners and part-time employees) were NT$47,925. According to a news release from the Directorate General of Budget Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS), this marked an increase of 0.76% from the previous month and 2.81% from the same month in 2022. In addition, average irregular earnings, such as bonuses and overtime pay, were NT$7,105. After adding the irregular earnings, the average total earnings were NT$55,030, a decrease of 0.69% from the previous month and an increase of 1.85% from the same month last year.

 

When including full-time and part-time employees with Taiwan nationality and foreigners, average regular earnings of all employees was NT$45,432, an increase of 0.83% from the previous month and 2.40% from the same month last year. Irregular earnings were NT$6,634. After adding the irregular earnings, the average total earnings were NT$52,066, a decrease of 0.99% from the previous month and an increase of 1.42% from the same month last year.

From January to March, the average regular earnings of all employees were NT$45,286, an increase of 2.41% from the same period last year while average total earnings increased by 2.36% from the same period last year. After adjusting for inflation, real regular earnings decreased by 0.19% from the same period last year, and the real average total earnings decreased by 0.23% from the same period last year.
