Taiwan and EU hold trade & investment dialogue
Taiwan and the European Union held their second round of Trade and Investment Dialogue. During the meeting, they discussed priority sectors, from offshore wind farms and agri-food to digital trade facilitation measures and security-related aspects of trade and investment.
Also in the virtual talk, both sides discussed their respective green transition, carbon pricing initiatives, and trade-related climate measures, according to the EU's Directorate-General for Trade.
Officials said they agreed to continue their cooperation to align their sanctions against Russia and to prevent the circumvention of these sanctions.
The EU stressed its concerns related to how much access its member states' agri-food exports have to Taiwan's market, and the localization requirements in the offshore wind and e-mobility sectors.
