CECC to update coronavirus data weekly
The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) says it will be updating coronavirus data on a weekly basis from tomorrow, as infections over the past month have shown a steady decline.
According to center spokesman Philip Luo, weekly updated statistics that track the number of new infections with moderate to severe infections and fatalities will now be published every Thursday.
Luo says the weekly release will also include figures on healthcare capacity, dispensing rate for oral antiviral drug treatments, positivity rate at facilities for individuals with physical or mental disabilities and subvariant surveillance.
Health authorities reported 137 moderate and severe cases and 14 coronavirus-related deaths on Tuesday. The CECC says the number of moderate and severe cases recorded during the past month has been 119 per day on average.
