Taiwan's population continued to decline in 2022

Births in Taiwan last year have hit a new low. The Ministry of the Interior has published its 2022 population survey today, indicating that there were 23.264640 million people in Taiwan.
That's down over 116,000 from 2021, and marks the third consecutive year of declines.
The data shows that 138,000 newborns were registered in 2022, the lowest on record while the number of deaths recorded was just over 207,000.
