Largest ever Art Taipei opens

The 29th edition of Art Taipei has opened with what organizers are describing as the "largest ever in the event's history in terms of the number of participating exhibitors and artworks being shown."
The Taiwan Art Gallery Association says this year's event is bringing together 138 exhibitors, including 89 from Taiwan and 38 from eight other countries and regions.
Minister of Culture Lee Yung-te says Art Taipei has showcased the creativity and diversity of Taiwan's artists for many years and he hopes that the volume of transactions this year will set new records. Transactions at Art Taipei 2021 reached NT$860 million.
Art Taipei runs until 24 October.
