Unemployment rate rises to 3.78%

Taiwan's unemployment rate rose by 0.75 percentage points to 3.78% in July compared to the same month in 2021. According to the “Manpower Survey Results” news release by the Directorate General for Budget Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS), total employment increased by 33,000 (+0.29%) to 11.397 million persons when compared with that of the previous year while the labour force participation rate rose by 0.33 percentage points to 59.28% year on year.
