The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) says it's preparing to set up thousands of community vaccination stations in the next few months, with the goal of administering one million doses of coronavirus vaccine per week.

The move is part of a large-scale inoculation plan to combat the pandemic.

According to epidemic command center spokesman Zhuang Ren-xiang, 2 million doses of coronavirus vaccines are scheduled to be delivered to Taiwan before the end of the month and another eight million doses by the end of August.

Figures show that to date, 500,577 shots of coronavirus vaccine have been administered in Taiwan.
