In a packed agenda over three days, the delegation held a series of meetings with senior officials from the European Commission (EC) and several other important industry associations and other organisations including the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), Wind Europe, BusinessEurope (the pan-European federation of European industries), the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), Cosmetics Europe and the European Centre for International Political Economy (ECIPE).

The main purpose of the annual trip is to brief EC officials on the ECCT's most recent position papers (the 2020 Position Papers, released on 5 November 2019), exchange information on bilateral EU-Taiwan regulatory and economic developments and promote the expansion of trade and business development in Taiwan and the EU.
In addition to meetings with EC officials, several meetings were held to discuss future cooperation. For example, at the meetings with GWEC, Wind Europe and DG Energy, delegates discussed the forthcoming second edition of the Global Offshore Wind Summit, which will be jointly arranged by the ECCT's Low Carbon Initiative and GWEC from 21-23 April in Taiwan. Following the outstanding success of the 2019 summit and the rising importance of wind energy in Taiwan, this year's summit promises to attract even more attendance and international media attention than last year's summit.
