Taoyuan facility shut down after infection

A Taoyuan electronics production facility has been shut down, after another confirmed Covid-19 case there.
Taoyuan Mayor Cheng Wen-tsan says 1,595 staff members at Compal Electronics underwent testing, after five employees at another electronics company tested positive.
The newly confirmed case is a woman in her 30s who has received two doses of BNT vaccine.
She remains asymptomatic despite being confirmed infected.
Officials are working to trace her contacts, and the company's facilities in Ping-cheng District will halt operations for seven days while the city government conducts testing and disinfection.
