Unemployment at 3.99% in August

The unemployment rate rose by 0.1 percentage point to 3.99% in August compared to the same month in 2019, according to the Monthly Manpower Survey Results in August published by the Directorate General of Budget Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS). According to the report, the number of unemployed persons was 478,000 and the labour force participation rate was 59.23% in August.
