Mobile payments hit new high
13 May, 2020
Mobile payments in Taiwan have hit a new high.
According to the Financial Supervisory commission, as of the end of February, NT$215 billion had been spent through mobile platforms.
To ensure the security of this growing payment method, the FSC has worked with the Bankers Association to come up with several measures to reduce risk.
These include mandating that companies use different QR codes for collecting and distributing funds, and requiring financial app developers to include warnings for users and to undergo yearly security testing.
